OCSD Explorers Celebrate Earth Day With San Clemente Beach Cleanup

Orange County youth spent Thursday afternoon combing San Clemente's beaches and trails for trash and debris.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — San Clemente residents who walked the city's beaches and beach trails Friday morning may have noticed the shores looking extra clean.

In honor of Earth Day, the Orange County Sheriff's Department Tri-Cities Explorers participated in a beach clean-up for their weekly meeting Thursday night, a spokesperson with the department said.

"Thank you OCSD Explorers for your hard work and dedication to the city," a spokesperson with the OCSD said. "Your efforts are never unnoticed and we are so fortunate to have such a fantastic group of young leaders."
