βIt mixes a lot of weird with the groove,β he said. βOur generation pretty much grew up listening to everything from the β60s upβitβs just like a big splatter of everything β¦ like a painting.β

He said there is really no one songwriter; for instance, Barrios will write a melody and vocalist Amy Goldenberg will write the lyrics.
Cameron Allen, the drummer, has been with the band for the 18 months it's been together, but Keepers just acquired bassist Riley Brown three months ago.
The Keepers have played around Orange County at venues such as La Cave in Costa Mesa, Coconuts in Capo Beach, the Continental RoomΒ in Fullerton, a Laguna Beach vintage store called Trashpretty and βweird art galleries,β Barrios said.
