Pendleton Driver Arrested in Car vs. House Hit-and-Run

The accident occurred early Monday morning at the corner of Ellis Avenue and Tamarind Street in Fountain Valley.

Fountain Valley police have arrested a Camp Pendleton man in connection with the on Ellis Avenue in Fountain Valley that ended with the driver's car smashing through the outside wall of a house and hitting the home.

Nicholas Brady Smith, 21, was arrested by detectives Monday on suspicion of felony hit-and-run. According to police, the accident occurred just after 2:30 a.m., at the corner of Ellis Avenue and Tamarind Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they saw a Honda S2000 that had collided with the block wall of a house and then came to rest against the home itself.

Smith was booked into the Orange County Jail, where he was still in custody in lieu of $50,000 bail.
