Pier Bowl Specific Plan Up For Discussion In San Clemente

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — The City announces that it has issued a draft update of the Pier Bowl Specific Plan for a 28 day public review and comment period before public hearings are held on the project. The Planning Commission is tentatively scheduled to consider the draft Specific Plan at a public hearing on April 17, 2019, and a City Council hearing is planned for May/June 2019.

The draft Specific Plan is available on the City website at: www.san-clemente.org.

The three objectives of the update are to:

  1. change land uses and development standards to be consistent with updates to the City’s General Plan and Coastal Land Use Plan (LUP),
  2. improve the plan’s organization, format, and maps; and
  3. update the plan to reflect current conditions of the area.

Public comments should be received by Monday, April 8, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. to provide adequate time for comments to be considered before the Planning Commission hearing tentatively scheduled for April 17, 2019.
