Police Hunt Gunman who Robbed Smoke Shop

An armed man shot through the glass counter at Inner Limits Smoke Shop Tuesday evening, before plundering the cash register.

Orange County Sheriff's deputies are still hunting the armed robber who shot through a San Clemente smoke shop counter before snatching $1,000 from the cash registers.

At 9:36 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a robbery in progress in the 500 block of El Camino Real.  The report stated that a man armed with a semi-automatic handgun and stolen $1,000 from the Inner Limits Smoke Shop at Palizada and El Camino Real.

The man reportedly shot one bullet into the glass counters before taking money. He had a black bandana over his face and the money was put into a black pillow case.

The OCSD's Lt. Jim England said Thursday the incident was still under investigation.
