San Clemente Asks Drivers To Be Aware Of Pedestrians: City

Motorists should protect pedestrians using crosswalks at the Interstate 5 on- and off-ramps at the Avenida Pico and Avenida Vista Hermosa.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — The City of San Clemente would like to remind drivers about pedestrian safety.

"With the ongoing construction along the I-5 and Avenida Pico and Avenida Vista Hermosa Interchanges, it is important that motorists respect construction zones and pay attention to signage installed around these projects," the city said in recent release. "These projects can affect normal traffic patterns and speeds with reduced speed limits enforced."

The City of San clemente urges all motorists to be cautious on the road to protect pedestrians using crosswalks at the Interstate 5 on- and off-ramps at the Avenida Pico and Avenida Vista Hermosa Interchanges.

The sidewalks and crosswalks at these interchanges can receive heavy pedestrian use, particularly before and after school. Motorists are urged to look for and be aware of pedestrians and exercise caution when exiting or entering freeway off-ramps or on-ramps.
