San Clemente Bridge Upgrades Coming

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — On Tuesday, May 23rd the Beach Trail bridge at Mariposa, between West Escalones and El Portal, will be closed for maintenance.

The closure will be in effect from 5 a.m. until 5 p.m that day.

During the closure, the City of San Clemente’s Public Works Department will be performing rust removal and priming the bridge.

"Trail users will be able to access the Beach Trail on either side, up until the northern and southern bridge entry points, but will be required to turnaround upon reaching the bridge," Laura Ferguson, public information officer for the city of San Clemente said.
