San Clemente: Changes To Animal Shelter Operations
The shelter's office is closed to the public, but sheltering services are available by phone.

For the public and our staff’s personal well-being and safety during this time, the San Clemente-Dana Point Animal Shelter has be limiting their in-person services, since Monday, March 16th, 2020. The shelter’s office is closed to the public, but sheltering services are available by phone.

Licensing paperwork can be sent in via mail, processed on-line, or submitted into our drop box located next to the front door of the shelter.
If you have questions concerning an Administrative Citation or Notice of Violation, please contact the shelter by phone and leave a message. Staff will return your call by the following day.
Adoption services are also available. If you are interested in adopting, please go to PetHarbor.com to view our adoptable animals. If you find an animal you are interested in, please complete an adoption application at PetProjectFoundation.org or San-Clemente.org, under Animal Services. Please send your completed application to our email address at animalservices@scdpanimalshelter.org, or fax it to (949)366-4765. Once received, a staff member will be in contact with you to schedule an interaction.
Staff will be on site during our regular operating hours to answer questions by phone only and address any concerns you may have relating to Animal Sheltering or Animal Control.

Monday – Closed, Tuesday 10:00 – 4:00, Wednesday 10:00 – 7:00, Thursday 10:00 – 4:00, Friday 10:00 – 4:00 Saturday 10:00 – 4:00, Sunday 12:00 – 3:00
