Customers who need information on how to obtain permits for building, planning and engineering projects can make appointments online to speak with the City via Zoom to discuss regulations and requirements.
Many of the City’s permit services and resources are available to customers online, including electronic plan submittal and electronic plan review for a variety of building and planning permits. For customers who are unable to find what they are looking for online, time slots can now be booked for a Zoom appointment to speak with City staff from the Engineering, Planning and Building Divisions. These appointments are available on the City’s website on the Permit landing page (https://www.san-clemente.org/permits).
The City’s webpage has useful information for customers on the many online permit and building and planning services. Once appointments are made online, a Zoom appointment link will be sent to the customer to connect with the Building, Planning and Engineering staff team for assistance. “It’s similar to coming to the City’s customer service lobby and obtaining Permit and development information from the Building, Planning and Engineering Division counters,” said Cecilia Gallardo-Daly, Community Development Director. “This appointment system allows customers a one-stop visit to a virtual customer service lobby to obtain assistance from a team of City development staff. This is just one of the ways the City is increasing access to information for our Permit customers, and we think the customers will find this service useful,” she added.
