San Clemente: El Camino Real Intersection Improvements – Construction Update

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

April 28, 2020…San Clemente, California… As part of ongoing construction on El Camino Real, the City will need to close two intersections on Thursday, April 30, during the night as follows:

The intersection of El Camino Real and Avenida Pico will be closed on Thursday, April 30, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Friday, May 1 (see attached map); and

The intersection at El Camino Real and Avenida Palizada will be closed on Thursday, April 30, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Friday, May 1 (see attached map).

Access to homes in the communities adjacent to El Camino Real will be maintained at all times. OCTA bus routes will be detoured during the night closure. (See attached map for details.)

Following the construction, the street will be re-opened. Please plan alternative routes during this time period and adhere to the detour routes.

Starting Sunday May 3rd, up to Tuesday May 5, from 9:00 p.m. to 5 a.m., contractor will be removing striping on El Camino Real from Avenida Gaviota to Pico and on E. Avenida Pico, from El Camino Real to Calle De Los Molinos. This work does not include any fixed road closure.
