San Clemente To Host Cinco De Mayo Celebration

Residents can look forward to carnival rides, inflatable games and live entertainment throughout the city's Cinco de Mayo celebration.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — San Clemente residents can celebrate Hispanic culture by attending the city's Cinco de Mayo event on May 7, the city said in a statement.

Residents who attend the event can look forward to an afternoon of delicious food, live entertainment, activities for children and fun with family, friends and neighbors.

Ballet Folklórico de Las Palmas, Ekoo Norteno and Grupo Dilema are among the groups slotted to perform at the event. Residents will also enjoy a Chinelos dancers performance, as well as mariachi music.

Pre-sale activity wristbands are available for purchase at $15 per wristband. Wristbands include carnival games, inflatable games, giant slide rides, a petting zoo, pony rides, face paint design and one popcorn, according to a city statement.

Residents age 21 or older can visit the event's beer garden, as well.

The City of San Clemente's Cinco de Mayo event takes place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. May 7 at Max Berg Park, 1100 Calle Puente.
