San Clemente Man ID'd After Fatal Motorcycle Crash On Ortega Hwy

SAN CLEMENTE, CA —San Clemente resident Bruce Fickling, 73, died after crashing his motorcycle while riding on the Ortega Highway Sunday morning, officials say.

It is not yet known if a medical emergency was the cause of the motorcycle crash, officials say.

An autopsy was pending Monday to determine the cause of Fickling's death, according to Supervising Deputy Orange County Coroner Larry Esslinger.

On Sunday, just before 10 a.m., Fickling crashed near San Juan Capistrano, according to the California Highway Patrol.

No other vehicles were involved.
