San Clemente Receives Recognition by United States Lifesaving Association
San Clemente's Marine Safety Chief, Bill Humphreys, accepted the National Award for Readiness and Incident Response this month.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA β The City of San Clemente received recognition at the United States Lifesaving Associationβs Fall Board of Directors Meeting in Denver, Colorado which took place on November 3rd through November 5th.
The Cityβs Marine Safety Chief Bill Humphreys attended the meeting to accept the award for βNational Award for Readiness and Incident Response" from Heroic Acts Chair Adrienne Groh.
The City of San Clemente was selected for its contribution to public safety and community, Laura Ferguson, City of San Clemente Public Information Officer, said.

The award honors an agency that has presented evidence that demonstrates its ability in providing high levels of lifeguard readiness and preparedness, and/or has presented an example of a high level of readiness and preparedness during a response to a major incident, mutual aid call, or mass casualty that brings great credit to the agency and to the profession.
Congratulations to Chief Humphreys and the public safety officers of the city.
