San Clemente To Reopen Tennis And Pickleball Courts
Individuals may reserve a tennis court for a minimum of 1-hour, with a maximum of 2 hours per day.

SAN CLEMENTE TENNIS & PICKLEBALL COURTS SET TO REOPEN
5/8/2020…San Clemente, California… Beginning Saturday, May 9 at 6 a.m. tennis courts and pickleball courts will reopen for public access, singles play only. To reduce crowding at the courts and provide a streamlined process for users to secure a court, the Recreation Division is providing online court reservations free of charge. To reserve your court space visit www.san-clemente.org/tennis. Reservations will be accepted up to 2 days in advance, beginning Friday, May 8 at 12 p.m.

Individuals may reserve a tennis court for a minimum of 1-hour, with a maximum of 2 hours per day. Pickleball courts may be reserved for a maximum of 1-hour per day. As a courtesy to other players, please only reserve times you will be able to keep. Walk-on play is permitted if courts have not been reserved. Players are encouraged to label their balls or use different colored balls to avoid sharing equipment when serving or clearing the court.
Below are additional guidelines pertaining to the usage of courts during the soft reopening:
- Court gates have been left open to avoid excess touch points;
- Drop-in use is permitted when not reserved;
- No loitering or waiting on courts; finish match and exit towards parking lot;
- Arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your reservation to avoid crowding;
- Cross over should be made on the opposite sides of the court;
- Bring your own water;
- Wash your hands after completing match or touching shared equipment;
- Please maintain social distance of at least 6 feet from other players; and
- No lessons are permitted (SCMC §12.28.010).
