San Clemente Trolley Sees Record Ridership
Love San Clemente's Trolley? Good News Ahead. The trolley will pick you up until October 1.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — Due to the popularity of the San Clemente Trolley, the San Clemente City Council voted to extend the service period until October 1st. The San Clemente Trolley has been operational since Memorial Weekend and initially was planned to end on Labor Day.
To date, 90,000 people have boarded the trollies. The grant from the Orange County Transportation Authority required the City to have 6 people board each trolley per hour in the first year and 10 boardings per hour in the following years of service.
In its inaugural year, the San Clemente Trolley experienced an average ridership of 50 people per hour.

During this extension, the trolley hours will remain the same; however, only two trollies will be operational for the remainder of the month, as opposed to three:

• Thursdays: 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 10:00 p.m.
• Fridays: 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 10:00 p.m.
• Saturdays: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Sundays: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The trolley runs northbound and southbound throughout San Clemente and stops at 16 different locations, which include, but are not limited to:
• The San Clemente Pier
• Avenida Del Mar & Ola Vista
• The Outlets at San Clemente
• The Metrolink train station at North Beach
