Car Spinout Leads To Carpool Closure Near San Clemente

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — Traffic was slowed for several hours on the California State route 5 going north in San Clemente after a Ford Mustang spun-out and crashed into a center divider on the freeway, California Highway Patrol reported Tuesday.

The crash took place on the freeway near Avenida Vista Hermosa at 1:03 p.m. and resulted in an hourlong SigAlert issued at 1:14 p.m. as authorities closed the carpool lane to clear the scene.

It is unknown if the man driving the car was injured from the crash.
