Sly Prowler Gets Cuffed

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a group of teens skateboarding in traffic, a man arrested for physical abuse, and cars drag racing at 1 a.m.

At 7:03 p.m. Saturday Sept. 14,someone reported a suspicious person in the 0 block of Gema. The informant had seen a man dressed in dark clothing in the backyard of a vacant residence, however when the man was spotted, he began walking around the neighborhood and talking into his cellphone. Deputies arrived and arrested a 23-year-old man. The man has since been released from jail.

At 9:55 p.m. Saturday Sept. 14, a concerned caller reported a disturbance near the cross streets of Camino de los Mares and Camino del Rio. A group of teens was jumping into the street on skateboards and videotaping themselves. The informant was worried the teens would get hurt.

At 10:41 p.m. Saturday Sept. 14, a worried informant phoned the sheriff’s office to report a disturbance in the 200 block of Avenida Vista Montana. The caller claimed he heard a woman crying for help because a man was beating her. Deputies rushed to the scene and arrested a 24-year-old man. The man has since been released from jail.

At 1:40 a.m. Sunda Sept. 15, deputies received a report of reckless driving near Calle Del Cerro and Avenida La Pata. Multiple cars were drag racing and peeling out up a steep hill.
