SONIC SAN CLEMENTE: Aloha Radio

This week's band featured on Sonic San Clemente is a surf rock group called Aloha Radio.

Headed by lead singer Lauren Mulderrig and guitarist Alex Barnett, this foursome also includes bassist "Captin" and drummer, Chris Hori.

The band practices up in L.A., but has its roots in the key surf spots in San Clemente, and plays in town often.

For those of us who wring our hands over the lack of ukelele and steel guitar in popular music, Aloha Radio is the antidote.

Their next show is at the Slidebar in Fullerton March 24.
