Staples Offers a Way to Help San Clemente Kids
Donations will go 100 percent toward getting school supplies in the hands of needy local kids.

This summer, Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Staples are teaming up for the 6th annual Staples for Students national school supply drive, to help kids get the tools they need to build great futures.
From June 30 to Sept. 28, Staples customers can donate $1 or more at their local Staples store with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting local members at the Boys & Girls Club of the South Coast Area. Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The Staples for Students school supply drive supports this mission by helping young people return to school prepared to learn and succeed.
The local Staples store to make a donation is located at 93 Pico Plaza, San Clemente

To kick-start the campaign, Staples has donated $125,000 worth of school supplies to the program this year. Staples and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America will ensure that all of the local donations stay at the local Boys & Girls Club in San Clemente in time for the new school year.Since 2008, the campaign has raised nearly $3 million for hundreds of thousands of students in need throughout the country.
“It’s amazing to see teens and customers rally together each year for and give back to their local communities for this important cause,” said Alison Corcoran, senior vice president stores and online marketing at Staples. “With help from local communities to support the great mission of Boys & Girls Clubs, we can ensure that students across the country can start the year off right in the classroom.”
