Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your San Clemente Patch surf report. Well, if you're getting a jumpstart to your weekend, then get out there and grab some of the action! Yep, our continued run of modest size surf is with us for another day.
The conditions are starting off pretty clean, with mostly holding southerly swell in the water and barely any northwest energy out there. That recipe is offering some drained-out, semi-walled lines, with good pick-and-choose corners. More tide will definitely help out!
Most spots in San Clemente are seeing waist- to shoulder-high plus waves, with the south facing focal points pulling head-high waves, with some overhead sets.

Taking a look at the tides, at 5:24 this morning it drained out to a negative 1.3 low which will have some spots desperate for water and pretty inconsistent early to mid-morning. The tide then climbs back up to a 4.0 high at 11:58 later this morning and then drops once again to a 2.1 low at 4:41 this afternoon.
If you're planning on paddling, a thin fullsuit is more than enough with the water temperature climbing up a bit and averaging between 63 and 65 degrees.
