Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your San Clemente Patch surf report. Well, it's time to get out there and grab some of the action! Yep, we're seeing a modest amount of energy in the water.
The conditions are starting off fairly clean, but some spots are seeing a little texture on it because of the light southerly winds. Let's hope that lays down at some point during the day.
As far as the waves go, we have some more south swell along with a tad of west northwest windswell in the water. That recipe is making for some fast, semi-walled, drained-out lines with some pick-and-choose corners. The shape should improve as that tides fills-in a bit.

Most spots in San Clemente are seeing waist- to shoulder-high waves, with the top south facing breaks pulling some head-high plus sets. At 4:51 this morning the tide dropped to a negative 1.3 low which will have many spots desperate for water early to mid-morning. The tide then climbs up to a 3.8 high at 11:20 later this morning and then drops again to a 2.0 low at 4:03 this afternoon.
If you're going to grab a session, throw on no more than a 3/2 fullsuit for at least that a.m session, with the water temperature averaging between 63 and 64 degrees.
