Surfing Heritage and Culture Center - "What Box?"
"What Box? Thinking Outside Traditional Lines of Surfboard Design"
The exhibition “What Box? Thinking Outside Traditional Lines of Surfboard Design” now on display at Surfing Heritage and Culture Center (SHACC) through April 15, 2015.
The exhibit showcases ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking and creations by some of the most innovative and experimental surfboard shapers in the industry: Ryan Burch, Donald Brink, Carl Ekstrom and Tom Morey.
Curated by Barry Haun, SHACC’s Curator and Creative Director, the exhibit features a quiver of unconventional and unique surf crafts from asymmetrical boards to boards that push the design envelope on both shape and materials used. The exhibit is made possible through the generous support of John Mazza, Founder of the Malibu Surfing Museum at Pepperdine.
