San Clemente residents come through for Christmas Food drive for Marines, FAM and Laura's House - 100 families in need enjoyed holiday meal
With the help of a lot of friends, San Clemente Sunrise Rotary Club was again able to feed neighbors in need for Christmas. Over 100 Marine, FAM and Laura’s House families received ingredients for a full holiday meal, including turkeys, from the Christmas Food Drive, held at Ralphs las Mares and Albertsons on Pico by San Clemente High School. In addition to the SC Sunrise Rotary club, members of the high school’s Interact Club gave up a day of holiday break to collect food all day long.
Holiday Inn downtown once again gave us all the space needed to sort and box the 100 dinners to b picked up and delivered by the organizations. A warm thank you to our so caring community, including Ralphs and Albertsons for letting us hold the food drive on their doorsteps, and Holiday Inn Downtown for letting us sort and box all the meals.
