Trustees To Vote on New Teachers Contract at Tonights Meeting

At tonights Board Meeting CUSD Trustees will vote on a new teachers contract. one of the provisions of the contract will allow teachers who teach 4/5 combo classes too have 80 minutes per week of release time for classroom planning. Under the old contract all students in 4th and 5th grade received 292 minutes daily average per week of classroom instruction with their teacher. Under the new contract students in 3/4 or 4/5 combo classes will receive 212 minutes of instruction with their classroom teacher and then have a sub for 80 minutes of instruction per week.
