Two New Businesses Come to Talega

Hit the salon and wine bar in the same day and you have a day of pampering.

Two new businesses have opened up in Talega Village Center: a wine bar and a salon.

Barona Wine offers a distinct mix wines: 45 percent comes from France, 45 percent from California, with 10 percent produced in the rest of the world, according to proprietor Alexandre Ponot. We think it’s fun that he is one vowel away from being a pinot.

Ponot and partner Anne-Sophie Derre signed a five-year lease for the 2,314-square-foot space.

Phoenix Salon Suites is the second new business in the same center. It offers personal suites for nail, hair and beauty professionals, and occupies a 4,034-square-foot space. Each suite is available for rent from Phoenix Salon’s corporate office.

Talega Village Center, at 801 Via Suerte, is a joint venture of Vestar and Rockwood Capital, in partnership with Equity One. It’s also the home of Sundried Tomato Café, Inka Mama’s Peruvian Cuisine, Bella Pilates and more.

“Barnoa is proud of being a part of Talega,” Ponot said.
