Unruly Baseball Fan Gets the Boot

SHEIRFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a possible drug deal, a family dispute, and a case of battery.

At 8:22 p.m. Sunday, a caller told deputies about a disturbance in the 200 block of Avenida La Pata. An unruly fan had been kicked out of Richard T. Steed Memorial Park during a baseball game for harassing the viewers and players. The 35-year-old man was suspected to be drunk or on drugs. The caller told deputies other spectators were worried the man might be waiting in the parking lot. No arrest was made.

At 8:35 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 500 block of Via Barracuda. The informant explained that they had seen two vehicles outside with men dealing drugs from them. When deputies arrived, the cars were gone.

At 1:04 a.m. Monday, an informant called the sheriff’s department to report a family dispute in the 200 block of Marquita. The caller claimed hearing a male and female arguing inside a residential home, and that there had been clear thumping noises heard. When deputies arrived, no one answered the door.

At 2:28 a.m. Monday, an informant called to report a battery in the 2100 block of Avenida Espada. The man told deputies that he was walking on Calle Frontera when someone approached him and asked him for money he owed. When the caller stated he did not have any, the man punched and kicked the informant to the ground and drove away in a black Range Rover.
