Vehicle Plows Off Freeway and through Fence to Land on Train Tracks
Amtrak service was delayed for three hours due to the crash near San Onofre.

A single-vehicle crash along the train tracks adjacent to Interstate 5 near San Onofre this morning delayed Amtrak service.
The non-injury crash off the southbound freeway, south of the shuttered nuclear power plant, was reported shortly after 8 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The vehicle involved went down an embankment, plowed through a fence and came to rest on the tracks.
Amtrak service north of San Diego and south of San Clemente was delayed for up to three hours after the crash, according to the North County Transit District.
