San Onofre Parks Foundation 2015 Summer Events: The Historic Cottage Big Wednesdays Summer Lecture Series

WHO:

The San Onofre Parks Foundation, whose mission is to support education and interpretive efforts of California State Parks at San Clemente and San Onofre State Beaches, is presenting a Lecture Series this Summer 2015.

The SOPF Lecture Series, at Historic Cottage, features internationally acclaimed speakers whose work spans a variety of topics of great interest to the community of San Onofre and San Clemente State Beaches. There are 3 Lectures in the series.

WHEN:

Lecture 1: Whale Tales of the Orange County Coast with Mike Makofske

July 22, 2015, Lecture at 8:00 p.m., reception 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Mike, President, American Cetacean Society, will discuss the five species of whales regularly seen in our waters and also touch on some “surprise visitors” we have seen in recent years.

Lecture 2: Fishing Aplenty with Ken Nielsen

August 19, 2015 Lecture at 7:30 p.m., reception 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Lecture 3: Expanding the Definition of Professional Surfing with Rob Machado

September 23, 2015 Lecture at 7:00 p.m., reception 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.

Lecture Series Ticket Information:

Tickets for each Lecture are $10/person/lecture and are available online: www.SanOFoundation.org - look for the link to SOF Summer Lecture Series.

Tickets purchased at the event are $15/person/lecture.

Seating is limited for each lecture. Seating on the Historic Cottage patio, under the stars. Parking included with lecture ticket price.
