Woman Arrested for Attacking Man with Turkey Thermometer

At 4:58 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 1500 block of Calle Sacramento. The caller claimed a woman tried to stab his friend with a metal turkey thermometer. The informant also said the woman had been recently released from a mental hospital. When deputies arrived, the 25-year-old woman was arrested. She has since been released from jail.

At 6:28 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 3100 block of Calle Grande Vista. The informant said a man and a woman were smoking drugs on the stairs of the local tennis courts.
At 11:58 p.m. Wednesday, someone called the sheriff’s office to report people in a suspicious vehicle near the cross streets of Camino Vera Cruz and Calle Aquamarina. The caller referenced a group of people in a silver Range Rover who were throwing rocks at his car inside a gated community.
At 2:11 a.m. Thursday, a caller phoned deputies to report a disturbance in the 200 block of Avenida Del Mar. The caller stated that two men tackled him to the ground and punched him twice before the informant ran away to seek help. No arrest was made.
