Woman Arrested for Fighting with 72-Year-Old Mother

At 1:05 p.m. Monday, a 37-year-old woman was arrested for an altercation involving her 72-year-old mother. The arrested woman’s daughter called deputies during a loud verbal fight between her mother and grandmother in the girl's home in the 100 block of Paseo De Cristobal. When the fight turned physical, deputies made the arrest. The the 37-year-old woman is currently in custody with bail set at $100,000.

At 12:34 a.m. Sunday, a woman called to complain about a man disturbing the peace near the 0 block of Via Pico Plaza. The man, who was approximately 30 years old, had checked in with a guest at a hotel and began harassing the informant. She requested that deputies escort the man off the premises. No arrest was made.

At 11:18 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported a group of suspicious males near the intersection of South El Camino Real and Avenida Mendocino. The informant told deputies that four men were inside a Camaro possibly smoking illegal substances in the parking lot of the Shell gas station.

At 12:05 p.m. Monday, an informant told deputies about a disturbance near the 200 block of Via Malaga. The caller explained that they had heard a man or woman screaming for help. The unknown person’s fire alarm had also been sounding for 36 hours.
