A Day of Celebration and Saying Goodbye

On June 6th two very special people were honored for their years of dedication to Mission School. Principal Tina Rolewicz and Coach Pat Forster have each dedicated over 20 years to the students of MBS but will soon be moving on to new adventures. The overwhelming attendance of students, alumni, special friends and family was a testament to the legacy these two leave behind. Miss Rolewicz and Coach Forster were escorted into the standing room only gym to a rousing ovation. Coach Forster was presented with gifts from the students and a plaque that will hang in the school’s trophy case, which tells the story of his life. Monsignor Art dedi cated the gym floor as the β€œPat Forster Court” as the Mission School cheerleaders ceremoniously revealed the new lettering to those in attendance. Miss Rolewicz’s gifts included a moving tribute video created by parishioners Julia and Paul Jenner. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place. Monsignor Art introduced The Tina Rolewicz Scholarship Fund, which will benefit MBS students for years to come. Miss Rolewicz was also presented with a beautiful photograph of the entire student body standing in the shape of a heart. The celebration continued as everyone in attendance enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Thank you Miss Rolewicz and Coach Forster for your years of dedication to Mission School. You will be missed!
