The Mission Preservation Foundation Board of Directors proudly announces Matt Harrison as its newest board member. Mr. Harrison serves as General Manager of the Inn at the Mission San Juan Capistrano, Autograph Collection where he’s overseen operations for the luxury boutique hotel since 2022.
“Matt Harrison is a perfect fit for our special board of the Mission Preservation Foundation. As the General Manager for Inn at the Mission San Juan Capistrano, Matt has a genuine care for the community, the Mission, and every person he comes to know. His business acumen and deep roots in the hospitality industry will add a great deal to our work in protecting and serving Mission San Juan Capistrano. We are thrilled to welcome him and look forward to doing good work with him on the team for years to come,” says Mission Preservation Board President George O'Connell.
Inn at the Mission San Juan Capistrano supports multiple programs and events at Mission San Juan Capistrano with a goal of honoring and preserving San Juan Capistrano's rich cultural heritage and historical significance. For the past five years, they’ve prepared and served the four-course plated gourmet dinner at the annual Romance of the Mission Gala.
Mr. Harrison reflects, “It is a true honor to join the Board of the Mission in San Juan Capistrano. The Mission represents the heart of our community and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside such a passionate group of leaders to help preserve its history and ensure its continued impact for generations to come.”
Matt is an executive member and founder of the Marriott NextGen Orange County Junior Business Council and serves on the CHOC Corporate Partnership Board. He studied at Brigham Young University and completed advanced hospitality studies at Cornell University School of Hotel Administration.
He and his wife Kourtney have four children and enjoy traveling, coaching their kids’ athletic teams, cheering for BYU sports, and all of the extracurricular activities that come with raising four children.
