Participants will meet at the Old Corral Day Use Area before setting out on a roughly one-mile hike through the Bell Canyon area.

The outing is designed for all ages, making it an option for families with children, beginning hikers and residents interested in exploring the park's natural environment.

Caspers Wilderness Park spans approximately 8,000 acres in the western Santa Ana Mountains and features oak woodlands, sandstone canyons, grassy meadows and seasonal streams.

The protected wilderness area is home to a variety of native plants and wildlife, including deer and numerous bird species. Visitors may also encounter California sycamores and coast live oaks along the park's trails.

The guided walk offers participants an opportunity to enjoy the park's scenery while becoming more familiar with its natural surroundings.

Although the hike is free, a $5 vehicle entry fee applies on weekends.

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes, bring drinking water and use sun protection, including sunscreen and hats.

OC Parks also advises visitors to remain on designated trails and be aware of changing outdoor conditions. Domestic animals, including dogs, are not permitted in the wilderness park.

Weather and trail conditions may affect outdoor activities, so residents should confirm the hike's status before heading to the park.
