H&R Block Fundraising Campaign for American Red Cross San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter
H&R Block and the American Red Cross San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter are joining efforts to celebrate American Red Cross Month in March. From March 1 through March 31, H&R Block will donate $1 to the American Red Cross for every free Second Look® review processed in all H&R Block offices located in San Diego County. H&R Block’s Second Look® finds possibly overlooked tax breaks from the previous three years tax returns to help taxpayers recover any hard-earned money that might have been left on the table. In addition, each H&R Block office will have American Red Cross donation jars placed so that clients and local residents can make donations.
“Giving back is part of H&R Block’s culture. Whether it’s free tax advice, a community service project or a financial donation, H&R Block invests in the communities we serve,” said Julie Vargas, district manager for H&R Block “Working with our local American Red Cross allows us to remind people the importance of being disaster-ready and how the Red Cross aids in disaster relief efforts.”

Nationally, H&R Block associates and franchisees have volunteered time, donated blood and provided financial support to the American Red Cross for years. This partnership puts H&R Block among a select group of corporations that provide the highest level of support to Red Cross relief efforts.
