Since moving here as a kid, my entire family has loved In-n-Out burger. Tasty burgers, fresh cut fries and fast super friendly service has always made this a fantastic guilty pleasure.
The "secret" menu offers a lettuce wrap instead of bun. This offering was started years ago during the original low-carb phase. While this technically makes the burger gluten-free, I was apprehensive about cross contamination.
In-n-Out also offer a "gluten allergy alert" when ordering your burger. This means that the patty is prepared away from the regular burgers and they use a separate spatula to flip the patty. After cooking, the burger is wrapped by someone not also touching/wrapping the regular burgers with the buns. The best part is that they package it separately, away from the rest of the order to avoid any chance of cross contamination. If your order is to go, it will be in a separate bag and if you are staying, it will be in a separate tray.
In-n-out only fries their potatoes in 100% vegetable oil, and there is nothing else ever fried in their fryers, so the fries are the freshest and safest around.
Their shakes come in chocolate, vanilla and strawberry flavors and are all gluten free. In fact, the only thing on the menu that has gluten is the buns!
We love still coming to In-n-Out. We can eat there safely and the entire family can eat for a great price too.
