UPDATE: San Juan Capistrano, CA--The Orange County Sheriff's Office has ruled that there was a homicide at the end of Trabuco Creek Road on June 13.

"This was ruled a homicide due to the suspicious nature of the injuries on the victim," OCSD public information officer, Sgt. Mark Stichter said. No name has yet been released on the victim.

San Juan Capistrano, CA — A man's body was found near a San Juan Capistrano creek bed at a dead end of Trabuco Creek Road yesterday.

Authorities said they have opened a suspicious death investigation into the incident.

Orange County Sheriff's Department deputies were called to the area at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday after a person notified them about the body, Lt. Scott Ostash told City News Service.

Homicide Unit Deputies were summoned by coroner's authorities to assist in the investigation, Ostash said.
