BLOG: How Kids Can Think Outside the Xbox?
Okay, so we all know that there's an issue with sedentary children, but there's also a solution.

There are a lot of ways that I could go with this, but let me get on my soap box for a few minutes...
As most of you know, we live in a society that has drastically changed over the past 20 years. Gone are the days of showing up at a friend's house unannounced to just hang out and play.
Now, they have to be scheduled into the day planner and given a title, PLAY DATE!?!

Gone are the days that a parent would have to holler or use some sort of device to get their child home for dinner. Gone are the days that kids would come up with games that they created or made up, and played for hours on end. Gone are the days of being outside climbing trees, riding bikes for extended periods of time, and hiking around the hills.
We are creating a generation of sedentary kids. We are creating a generation of kids that feel entitled to... (you fill in the blank). We are creating a generation of kids that are looking for the easy way out and don't want to take responsibilty or their actions.

In the health/fitness realm, if they don't have the perfect gym experience or equipment, then they're blaming others for the lack of their state of health.
So, what can be done? Changing society is like trying to swim across the Pacific Ocean, so that's out. But, what can be done is to be creative, and hopefully teaching our kids to think outside the (X)box.
That is where places like RedLine Athletics and other training facilities come into play. With the emphasis on the athlete/"regular person," there is a total body transformation that can take place. A place like that is where work ethics can be developed and instilled. A place like that is where they can learn to take care of their bodies. A place like that is where lifestyles of health and lifetime health/fitness are birthed and nurtured.
RedLine Athletics is for athletes, of course, it's in the name, BUT, RedLine has adult and weekend warrior programs as well!
