BLOG: My Granny's Recipe – the Creamiest Fudge You Will Ever Taste
My granny's fudge made her famous in my little hometown, and lucky for you, I kept her recipe all these years. Make this fudge and you can become famous, too.

People beg me so often for my Granny's Creamy "See's" Fudge recipe that now I print up 50 sheets of it at a time:
Ingredients:
4 ½ c sugar
1 (13 oz) can evaporated milk
1 ½ cubes margarine
3 large Hershey bars (7 oz.)
2 sm (6 oz.) packages chocolate chips
2 c chopped nuts
1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow cream
1 t vanilla
Directions:
In large saucepan put the sugar, evaporated milk and margarine. Turn burner on high until margarine has melted, stirring constantly. When mixture begins to boil, turn down to med-high heat and start a timer for 7 minutes.
In the mean time, place Hershey bars, chocolate chips and marshmallow cream in large mixing bowl.
At the end of the 7 minutes, pour the hot mixture over the chocolate mixture and begin stirring to melt the chocolate. Add the chopped nuts and continue stirring until very hard to stir. Pour into prepared jellyroll pan, lined with aluminum foil and buttered. Spread out evenly and let stand at room temperature until set. Never refrigerate! When set, lift out of pan and cut with pizza cutter into small squares.
Comments: I freeze the nuts so that when I add them it helps to cool the mixture and harden quicker. I also use my big KitchenAid mixer to do the stirring. Enjoy and pass the recipe on. Let me know how you like it, via comment below.
P.S.: You'll find Granny's fudge recipe, along with other superb recipes, in the San Clemente Downtown Business Association's recipe cookbook that was a DBA fundraiser several years ago. Some local stores still have this book for sale or you can check with the DBA office. Or contact me here in San Juan Capistrano Patch.
