BLOG: What Will Rogers Would Have Said about Fast Track

Folks, I read that our city leaders are talkin’ about puttin’ a new project on the ‘fast track.’ 

I don’t know for sure what that means at – never knew anything over there to move fast or stay on track, let alone do both. 

I guess they’re wantin’ to get one thing done faster than normal. Sounds like a good idea to me – if City Hall has figured out a way to do anything faster than normal, I’m all for it. 

Faster than normal speed for City Hall is probably about normal speed for the rest of us.

Now I’ve got a suggestion here and I think most of you will agree with me. If City Hall can figure out how to get one project on ‘fast track,’ why not make that the new standard, a ‘regular track,’ for all projects? 

What have we got to lose, folks, except a lot of wasted time!
