BLOG: Disney joins Alaska Cruises
There are plenty of options to cruise Alaska, one of our most beautiful states.
I took my first Alaska cruise the last week of May and highly recommend it. Several of my clients have taken this cruise two or three times and I could never understand why someone would repeat an itinerary. Now I do! The scenery is breathtaking and there is an amazing feeling of peace and serenity in the glacier areas.
I took NCL — the "freestyle crusing" folks. I like their "whatever" laid back attitude. You've got lots of choices for an Alaska cruise with Princess, Holland America, Royal Caribbean and Carnival offering sailings from May through September. For a higher end, all-inclusive experience Regent Seven Seas offers a good value for a fantastic cruise.
Disney also has jumped into the gamea as of June 2012, setting sail from the Port of Seattle. The Alaskan itinerary for the 2,700-passenger Disney Wonder includes stops in Tracy Arm, Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan, Alaska, and Victoria, British Columbia.
