BLOG: Where Are You Going for Summer Vacation?

Summer is officially here and the kid in all of us is ready for some play time. Here are some popular trips for summer 2012 to get you in vacation mode.

National park visits are at the top of many vacationers lists. Disney Adventures offers a week long trip to Montana and Alberta, Canada that takes you to three national parks with plenty of opportunities to raft, canoe and bike. You'll see Glacier, Yoho and Banff National Parks ending with a dip in the Upper Thermal Springs in Banff with an amazing view of the Candian Rockies.

Tauck, a luxury tour company offers a trip to Lake Louise and Jaspar and Banff National Parks with hotels made for pampering including the Fairmont Chateua Lake Louise, the Fairmont Jaspar Park Lodge and the Farimont Banff Springs.

I can't forget Yellowstone Park – the very first national park. It's celebrating its 140th birthday this year. Geyers, hot springs, bears and lots of beauty  – summer is the best time to visit.

Coming from Providence, R.I., I'm a huge Red Sox fan. Fenway Park is 100 years old this year – take in a game or go on a tour of this historic icon. You'll also want to vist the Faneuil Hall Visitor Center, which opened in May, and the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, which just opened this month.

San Francisco also has an anniversary this year. It's the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge. Hang out at Fisherman's Wharf. Take in a ballgame at AT&T park in one of the most beautiful settings of any ballpark in the country. Eat great food and have an Irish coffee at the Buena Vista Cafe.
