California Department of Education to Review Williams Complaint
An appeal to the CDE was filed to protect the health and safety of students when CUSD failed to respond

A Williams complaint was filed on behalf of Tesoro High School students to seek relief from the health and safety issues that grading a Toll Road less than 100' from a school pose when there is no protective barrier in place.
The County of Orange; as the lead for CEQA on the Los Patrones project being done by RMV, was suppose to include a 10' high 3,777 feet long wall to protect Tesoro High School Students from health and safety issues that may result from the construction of a Toll Road less than 100 feet from the school.
CUSD failed to respond to the Complaint.

An Appeal was filed with the California Department of Education when CUSD failed to Respond. The State now has the ability to step in on behalf of Tesoro Staff and Students.

A recent inspection done by the San Diego Water Board found that the Ranch had 6 best management practice violations which may have exposed students to fugitive dust since there were no protective barriers in place. See: San Diego Water Board Report
In addition, a recent facilities assessment report (at page 7) indicates there may be structural damage to the building as a result of grading a Toll Road so close to Tesoro High School.

No protective barrier is in place.
