Schools

The Capistrano Unified School District relies on ASB funds to pay for many District positions at $10.00 per hour.

California amended its labor code to increase the minimum wage to $15 per hour. Does this mean CUSD will need to increase ASB fees?

Current fees:
November 2016: $387,191.00
December 2016: $210,209.00
When minimum wage is $15 per hour
November 2023: $580,786.50
December 2023: $315,313.50
At what point to ASB Fees become just another tax?
How many more taxes can people afford to pay for CUSD?
