Capo Teacher Arrested for Allegedly Sexting Student

A Capistrano Valley High School math teacher has been arrested for allegedly sending sexual text messages to a student.

A math teacher at Capistrano Valley High School was arrested Monday for allegedly sexting a teenage student.

Justin Verducci, 25, of Irvine, was arrested on suspicion of child annoyance and sexual communication with a known minor online. The relationship came to light when the parents of a 16-year-old girl discovered several inappropriate text messages on their daughter’s phone, said Orange County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Jeff Hallock.

“The text messages were sexual in nature and exchanged between their daughter and Verducci,” Hallock said in a written statement. “Investigators collected evidence and obtained information over the weekend before contacting Verducci this morning.”
