Celebrate Strawberry Season At Ecology Center Farm Stands
With springtime just around the bend, the Ecology Center is selling "regeneratively grown" strawberries at farm stands in Orange County.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — Are you looking for a juicy way to skip into the spring season? Regeneratively grown strawberries are available for purchase at the Ecology Center's farm stands and farmers markets in Orange County, the center announced Tuesday.
Residents can buy fresh strawberries by the pint with the knowledge that the home-grown fruits were raised in San Juan Capistrano soil.
"Our regeneratively grown strawberries have never encountered chemical pesticides or fertilizers," A news statement for the Ecology Center said. "Because they're grown right here on our San Juan Capistrano farm and don't have to endure lengthy travel to the supermarket, we pick them at peak ripeness."
