San Juan Capistrano Inaugural Restaurant Week Kicks Off Today!
About 20 San Juan Capistrano eateries will participate.

Foodies, turn your palates to San Juan Capistrano!
Close to 20 restaurants are participating in this week's inaugural Restaurant Week, offering diners delectables at reduced prices.
Selected local restaurants will offer three-course meals at the fixed price of $15, $25 or $35 for dinner and $10 or $15 per lunch. The courses are a deal at about 25 percent less than standard prices.

To boot, diners who purchase a special VIP wristband for $10 will receive extra values—small wine pairing, a dessert upgrade, additional side dish and the like—throughout the week.
"The concept, which is popular in cities across the nation and beyond, gives diners the opportunity to try new—or more expensive places—or go back to their usual favorites and get a little something extra for their money," said San Juan Capistrano spokeswoman Kelly Tokarski.

Wristbands will be sold at the San Juan Capistrano Chamber of Commerce office, 31421 La Matanza Street, and at participating restaurants.
