City Gym Closed for Water Damage Repairs

A damaged fire sprinkler is to blame

The city’s gym at the San Juan Capistrano Community Center is closed while it dries out from water damage, city officials said.

On May 23, one of the fire sprinklers was damaged, said city spokeswoman Cathy Salcedo said. Leaking water damaged the gym floor.

“The floor has dried out quite a bit, but is not ready to reopen yet,” she said.
