City Trucks Have Residents Singing the 3:30 a.m. Blues

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, vandalism and a burglary at two area schools, a parole violator and a family dispute that went bad.

City workers never sleep apparently. At 3:34 a.m. Monday, deputies received a call complaining about really noisy trucks near the intersection of Via Entrada and Avenida Placida. Turns out, the trucks were maintenance bulldozers for the city and they were making repairs to water lines.

At 6:21 p.m. Sunday, vandalism was reported at San Juan Elementary School.

At 8:16 p.m. Friday, a family dispute in the 2640 block of Paseo Carmel resulted in an arrest. Deputies took into custody a 35-year-old man. No bail amount was posted.

At 4:46 p.m. Friday, deputies were asked to assist an outside agency in the 31000 block of Calle San Diego. The efforts resulted in finding a person in violation of his parole. The 23-year-old was arrested and is being held without bail.

At 3:03 p.m. Friday, deputies took a burglary report at Kinoshita Elementary School. It was not disclosed what was missing.
