CUSD Intentionally Mis-lead the Public
re: PSAT Testing and the Release of Studen's Personally Identifiable Data to 3rd party For Profit Vendors

On October 18, 2016 I published an article warning parents about the PSAT testing that was to take place on October 19, 2016.
"CUSD is representing to parents that every 9th 10th and 11th grade student will be given the PSAT at no charge on Wednesday October 19, 2016.
This is NOT normal procedure for High Schools.
CUSD has unilaterally enrolled every 9th 10th and 11th grade student in the district is a special PSAT program. The FREE option is offered through a partnership between College Board and Khan Academy
There is no such thing as FREE. In exchange for providing the test free of charge your student is agreeing to provide personally identifiable data to Kahn Academy and third party vendors such as Google and Facebook."

The following is the Contract CUSD entered into with College Board. The contract shows that CUSD entered into a contract with College Board for every student to take the FREE PSAT through the partnership with College Board and Kahn Academy. CUSD did so without the consent of parents and in violation of the Terms of Service Agreement with both College Board and Kahn Academy which requires every parent to OPT IN. CUSD did so without regard to student privacy rights and parental control over minors.
