Do You Have Someone in Mind for San Juan Capistrano Citizen of the Year?

The Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations.

From the San Juan Capistrano Chamber of Commerce:

The San Juan Capistrano Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting nominations for consideration of this year’s Citizen of the Year award to be announced at its annual Installation and Awards Dinner on Thursday, July 10.

Community wide involvement in the selection is the primary goal of the past
recipients of the “Man/Woman of the Year” or “Citizen of the Year” award and SJC Chamber of Commerce. Therefore, the Chamber and past recipients are asking for your participation in helping choose the San Juan Capistrano Man and Woman or Citizen of the Year for 2014 by nominating a candidate.

The award will be based on the original program file which is: “Judging will be based solely on the personal contribution of the nominee toward making San Juan Capistrano the best possible community in which to live and work. Nominees must be residents of San Juan Capistrano. The person should have participated in activities which have promoted the city’s economic, cultural, educational and social well being. The nominee may be recommended for his/her outstanding service, leadership and continuing service for many years.”

The selection committee for this award is comprised of past recipients of this
award and a member from the Chamber Board of Directors.

Nominations must be received no later than June 6. (No nominations will
be accepted after this date) The winner will be announced at the Chamber’s Installation and Awards Dinner on Thursday, July 10 at The El Adobe de Capistrano.
